In a land of eternal night where the only light comes from the moon and stars, one of the last remainders of these elementals must search for her kind to rebuild the sun temples. Can she survive the darkness? Can she forgive those of the night?
This web series was meant to premiere in the summer of 2021 on webtoons. This comic is meant to be fully colored but also simple. A fantasy world with all sorts of creatures coming from other worlds as well. Unlike Frightful Nights this project was not discontinued entirely, however, due to personal & health issues this project was not fully completed.
The cover was designed to be seen on a small phone just as the web series is designed to be read by scrolling down on one's phone or tablet as well.

At first, I wanted to sketch the character designs and began trying to figure out what the "last light," also nicknamed "little light" would look like.
This helped give me a base of how I wanted other "luxes" and the other elementals to look as well.

The designs started to turn into an attempt to figure out what species of light would, or could look like. I liked the idea of the elementals having various forms but keeping a certain feel throughout.
All of the lights have a circular head with white eyes, though the size and shapes of the overall can vary quite a bit.

I liked the look of the little girl so I decided to see how she would look if her clothing features were colored. This was a chance to see if any of the lights would have variations as well. I felt keeping the palette for the species around whites, yellows and oranges would be best.
Later on, I thought I might experiment with starlight and rainbow light colors. As they two would be elementals, though they reside in another destination.

I had a few ideas for the main character to be similar enough to her species but also distinct enough as well. I thought of adding a necklace to help but decided that could come in later.
In the end, I decided to use the center form since it would be very eyecatching in motion. The dress and top whisp flow together in similar motions.
The far left's hair was nice but too human for the protaganist. The far-right would better be suited for an Eart or Flower Elemental.
